The following is a list of frequently used Georgia Wildlife Network rehabilitators and the species they are permitted to care for. This is not a complete list of all licensed wildlife rehabilitators in Georgia. This list may change based on availability. Please note it is illegal to transport wildlife across state lines.

Always call ahead before transporting an animal to confirm that the rehabilitator has capacity and is currently accepting intakes. Do not provide any food, water, or milk unless specifically instructed to do so by a licensed rehabilitator.

Important: “RVS” refers to Rabies Vector Species, which includes animals such as raccoons, bats, foxes, & coyotes. Rehabilitators are only permitted to accept and treat species within their licensed scope of practice.

Wildlife rehabilitators do not receive state or government funding and rely on donations to continue their work. Please consider supporting a local rehabilitator if you are able. You can purchase items from their wishlist or find donation info on our Rehabber Donation page.

Due to the high volume of animals in care, rehabilitators and veterinarians are generally unable to provide updates once an animal has been admitted. You will NOT be permitted to visit with the animal once it is turned over for care. Additionally, wildlife rehabilitators do not pickup animals from your location. We ask that you make every effort to transport the animal asap once a rehabber has agreed to take the animal.
